the site is down. I received an aanouncement e-mail from them a couple of days ago. Below's the e-mail:

We are currently performing maintenance on our servers. This maintenance process is necessary to address a temporary problem related to completion of your transactions automatically.

Our technicians have plans to address that issue through a rollback of the website software to the previous version we had through last months of 2006. You can expect transactions to be processed directly to your account(s) within next 48 hours and have the stable operational environment as we were providing earlier.

Please note that during next 24 hours there may be brief interruptions in the availability of our company web site.

We do apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.

I received the mail on January 31st. Now it's February 2nd. I think it way over 24 hours 'maintenance' as they said in the e-mail.

After suspiciously went hiatus from Christmas until January 3rd, Eutradeltd is back and paying. Sorry for the late update on this blog, since the earthquake in Taiwan has some impact on internet connection in my country.
Last week i've successfully transfered my earnings from eutradeltd.com, but... the amount is significantly getting lower and lower. In the last few days, they even paid me below USD 2 per day!
I think this is the symptom of "pre-scam" HYIP. I suggest not to invest there, guys. Let's find another new and fresh HYIP.

If you're an existing customer of eutradeltd.com, you are given a chance to upgrade your investment plan into two major groups of investment mode: Agressive and Balanced.

In agressive mode, you'll have an opportunity to gain bigger percentage from your current plan, but also facing the risk of losing big portion of your interest. For example, the daily percentage is ranging from 0.2 - 2.2% if you have at least US$50 in investment.

Compared to the classic investment mode that offers maximum 1.9% for that amount of investment, this 'aggressive mode' is promising bigger returns. But don't forget, you can have much smaller returns too, as small as 0.2%.

So the choice is your.
But again, i think this is (hopefully) a good sign that Eutradeltd.com is planning to stay longer in the business. Just don't forget that we are still in HYIP business when everything is possible.

One thing i recently learned from HYIP investing is the importance of refferal system. As i mention in my previous posting, HYIP sites usually ran ponzi scheme. In order to survive, Ponzi Scheme needs continuous flow of new investments. As soon as the investments stop coming, the site is stop operating.

One thing to ensure the stability of new investments is refferal system. By offering refferal system, the HYIP sites empowers its members to make sure new investments are still coming. Recently i joined giantinvestment, a HYIP site that offers quite 'reasonable' interest rate at 5% daily and no refferal comission. Only after 1 month in operation, the site is already SCAM.

My conclusion: stay away from HYIP with no refferal system.

What is e-gold?

E-gold is a virtual currency that claims to be 100% backed by gold market. It started the business back in 1996 and continuosly gains trust from its users across the globe.

Technically, using e-gold is similar with using your regular bank account to store and transfer money. The difference is, with e-gold you can switch your money to various currencies (US$, GBP, etc).

E-gold is safe and professional, they have no interest to steal your money away. Their site is protectedwith state of the art technology to protect their customers money. You can also help e-gold to protect your money better by:

Not sharing your password (they call it passphrase) with anyone
Follow their suggestions in creating your password (contains alphabet and numbers, not too short, etc)
Follow their suggestion in security, for example IP change protection. With this feature on, e-gold will send you confirmation e-mail each time someone tries to login to your account from unknown IP address.
Not log-in to e-gold via unknown link (For example: you receive a e-mail claiming to be sent from e-gold and ask you to input your account number and password... don't!)
Using a specific password only used for e-gold. Don't use same password for your e-gold and HYIP account, the scammers from HYIP sites could use it to steal away the money in your e-gold account!

Another good thing about e-gold is: they offer refferal bonus to their users. If you refer someone to join e-gold, you'll get 10% of all of his/her transactions! Interesting, eh? Join e-gold here, and be my downline! :-)

HYIP monitors: useful, but don't count on it

One way to "play safe" on HYIP investing is following the guidance from HYIP monitors. HYIP monitors are site dedicated to "monitor" the HYIP sites. You can find resumes and reviews on various HYIP programs. They will post the current status of HYIP sites; which one is paying and which one is not.

Can we trust them?
I wouldn't suggest you to do so. Well, not COMPLETELY, i mean.

Usually HYIP monitors have some 'agreement' with HYIP sites. the Monitors provide 'good' ratings on HYIP sites, and HYIP sites give the monitor some free fund as 'investment' in return. That's why you can see that some HYIP monitors post how much money they invest on certain HYIP sites. Well, it's not really their money!
And if it is, HYIP sites understands the importance of good ratings on hwo they will survive longer in their business, so they will prioritize HYIP to get paid for their "investment"! It means that even if their payment to their real members already stopped, they will continue to pay the monitors to get good rating - so people will continue investing their money on them.

So, is there any use in relying on HYIP monitors?
Yes, there is. You can use HYIP monitors to:

Tell the life span of a HYIP site. The longer a HYIP site has operated, the bigger risk you will face to invest there. I will explain about this on later postings.
See reviews from other investors. See how many get paid, and how many don't. But again, in the wild world of HYIP, don't take them too seriously. There are many fake voters out there. More about this on later postings.
Get informations about new HYIP sites.

HYIP stands for "High Yield Investment Program". Nowadays the net is overwhelmed with this kind of financial service. You can tell a HYIP site from these characters:

offering you financial investment service with immense level of returns (i.e.: 2% daily, or 200% mothly)
doesn't tell you the details on their investment method
usually, but not always, use e-gold as the method of payment
usually, but not always, offers short term investment method (monthly, or even hourly).

What do you think? 200% monthly... wow... is that true?
the bad news is... it's not. I mean, they are not really investing your money in a "real business". They operate based on Ponzi Scheme. You can read about it in here (from wikipedia). In short, Ponzi scheme means they pay earlier investor with the money from later investor. No legal business ever able to generate that much interest in long term, so yes, most of the HYIP sites are ran by scam artist.

But if you ask me, is it possible to actually gain something from HYIP, i'd say yes! How? Read my next posting first... :-)
